Camp was awesome! We went to Ponderosa Retreat Center on Aug 1-4.
The theme was "Tell the World." We did The Gospel Journey curriculum from Dare2Share. I got my friend Chris to come down from Denver & lead us through those lessons! He did great! He presented evidence to them about the resurrection, the Bible and the existence of God to give them some info to be able to talk to people. By the end of our time there they had learned how to share their faith using six simple sentences. The following Sunday night we split up into groups and went out visiting so they could apply what they learned!
Dare2Share using the word GOSPEL to form an acrostic that helps you remember the different aspects of the Gospel. Here it is:
God created us to be with Him
Our sins separate us from God.
Sins cannot be removed by good deeds.
Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again.
Everyone who trusts in Jesus alone has eternal life.
Life that's eternal means we'll be with Jesus forever!
One afternoon we did the low ropes course. Here we had to assume the identity of an African animal, then rearrange ourself smallest to largest without stepping off the log. If we stepped off, we had to go back to where we were originally & try again! It was a little frustrating at times, but it was very fun! They did a great job at working together.

We had Fear Factor again! It's an annual event at youth camp! This is the first place team! Woo-Hoo!

Can we get paid for this endorsement?

They went a little crazy with the shaving creme!
