Parent Night at SURGE!!!

We had a special night tonight at SURGE. I invited the parents to join us! We had a lesson on the Five Love Languages (based on the books by Gary Chapman. highly recommended!!!) The students requested we do the frozen T-shirt game. So some of the parents played! They were great sports!

After the lesson the families had some time together to discuss what each other's love language was and how they were going to implement what they learned. Obviously, the love language of the dad pictured below is physical touch! They're doing a great job of speaking his language!!!

Funky Clouds!

When I saw my family off to the school the other day, I noticed these low-lying clouds! It was kinda weird. We didn't have any storms with these clouds. I just thought they were interesting!

Super Bowl Party

We had a great time getting together during the big game! As you can see by the pictures, we weren't glued to the game! But it was on & we watched periodically. We denifinately saw the last few minutes! WOW But mostly we just had fun being together. We had 3 first time visitors! That's always awesome to meet new students!
