Some thoughts from church camp
We had a great time visiting the BMAA of the Ozarks Encampment. It was awesome seeing friends and staying with Temple's group. I also enjoyed catching up with Steven & Donna Carroll and meeting their children. Steven did a great job challenging us!
One thing that stood out to me was his sermon on Job. In his introduction Steven stated that we must get beyond asking "Why?" and instead ask "What?" There's nothing wrong with asking "Why?" You do learn some things asking "Why?" We grow more by asking "What?" For example, "Lord, what do You want me to learn from this?"
His sermon on the last night of camp was inspirational as well. He spoke on the story of Peter jumping out of the boat and swimming to Jesus. When Peter realized it was Jesus he leaped out of the boat. Steven used this to encourage people to leap out of their chairs as the Lord spoke to them.
