It was great to have my parents visit the first week of June. We took them up to the top of Pike's Peak on the Cog Railway for their Mother's/Father's Day present! It was fun!

The view was gorgeous...
...but I didn't stay out there very long because the wind was blowing very hard! It about knocked me off my feet! Most everyone on the train went straight into the gift shop. I wanted to take a look around even though the wind was blowing. I mean, hey, I was up on the top of Pike's Peak for goodness sake! I didn't want to spend all my time up there in the gfit shop! There were only 3 other guys out there with me! After my self-portrait, I made my way into the gift shop where my wife had the famous Pike's Peak donuts waiting for me! They weren't Krispy Kreme's or anything, but they weren't bad either! The wind got so bad that they closed the top or the Peak and employees from the gift shop rode down with us in our train. I'm glad we went on the first train that day! We may not have been able to go up later in the day! I'm planning to "Hike the Pike" this fall!
